10 things to stop doing right now: Life is too short to spend it on the wrong
people, on the wrong actions and thoughts. Let's figure out how to get the
most out of what is useful and cut off everything unimportant from our fleeting
everyday life.
1. Stop spending time with the wrong people
Very
often we have to communicate with people near whom we feel discomfort. It
can be either relatives or just acquaintances or friends who squeeze our energy
and do not leave a positive aftertaste from communication. Throw away your
prejudices about a sense of tact and good breeding. Your peace of mind and
harmony are much more important. If you become an order of magnitude
calmer without these people - limit communication or simply level it. The
world will be happier for one person.
2. Do not run away from your problems
Stop
and allow yourself to realize that there is a specific unpleasant situation
that needs to be resolved. How to solve? This is a secondary
issue. It is important to overcome fear and face the challenge. This
will already be a solution to half the problem and a manifestation of your
strength. I run away from problems into depression, alcohol, empty talk or
sleep, you just bury yourself in it even deeper.
3. Be honest with yourself
We
time every day! Yes - just like that - everything and everywhere, in small
things and in large. But the worst thing is not that it has become a
habit, but that we time, first of all, to ourselves. We are the time that
this work is not so bad, instead of realizing what we really want. We are
the time that relations can be maintained even when people have become
completely alien and live under the same roof for the sake of habit and fear of
realizing the truth. We are a time that we are not really bothered by
overweight and health problems, instead of taking responsibility for our lives
and becoming honest first of all to ourselves. And it’s not
difficult. And after this step, it will be much easier to stop lying to
the world and others.
4. Stop pushing your desires into the background
How
often do we sacrifice our true needs for others. Well, wait, well then,
think. That is, time after time, we shut up the voice of our soul,
offending it and pushing it into a corner. We lose ourselves in the flow
of fulfilling the will of our loved ones or colleagues. Or maybe at one
moment you simply stop hearing yourself and want something, after why there
will come complete devastation.
5. Stop being who you are not
In
our world of stereotypical thinking, everyone seeks to squeeze himself into the
pattern of comfort for all worked out by society. But the problem is that
chasing someone else's image, there will always be someone who will be
better. And this will inevitably lead to disappointment and
depression. Allow yourself to be yourself, accept yourself with your
shortcomings and allow yourself to be imperfect. This does not mean to
give up and show the whole world its unworthy faces. This means to stop
fighting with yourself and put this energy into sharpening your best qualities,
with which you can conquer the world.
6. Learn to let go of the past
Each
time, scolding yourself for past moments or mentally pronouncing how you could
do otherwise, you simply lose the vital energy of this moment. It could
not be better than an act and everything happened, as it should be. And
letting go does not mean trying to forget. On the contrary, it means
remembering everything, drawing conclusions, understanding what mistakes were
made and closing this chapter.
7. Do not look for someone who will make you happy
Happiness
is not a quality that anyone can award you. Happiness is an internal state
of a person, similar to a state of health. Yours cannot make your partner
healthy. It can only help you maintain your tone with healthy food and
sports. So it is here. It is your merit to be or not to be happy: to
learn to see the good in the details, whether or not to please the new day, to
be grateful for having or complaining about fate, to learn to dream or to
become discouraged and envious. And the other person can only increase
your state of happiness and nothing else.
8. Stop blaming others
All
situations in our life are created by us to one degree or another. I am
shaping our life with our thoughts and attitudes, in case of trouble, we should
not look for the cause outside. Withdrawing responsibility from others
will allow us to look at the situation from a different angle and solve it will
be much easier.
9. Do not let someone decide for you
The
ability to listen, to extract useful, but to act in accordance with one's
convictions is a very useful quality for success. You and only you can
evaluate your capabilities and your qualities 100% at the moment and therefore
only your decision can be truly correct.
10. Stop feeling sorry for yourself
The
position of the victim laid down to us in childhood does not allow us to
adequately assess our lives. That is why we ourselves are attracting new
carriers of pain and trouble into it. Stop feeling sorry for
yourself. You are not a victim — you are the builder of yourself and your
life. And only you allow yourself to do or not to do with you in one way
or another.
