Russia and China will hold joint exercises with Iran

Russia and China will hold joint exercises with Iran:  Russia and China will hold joint naval exercises with Iran, said Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, chief of the country's navy. He made the remarks in an interview with the country's Student News Agency on Sunday.

The navy chief said the Iranian navy would conduct exercises this year and that several countries had been invited. Meanwhile, China and Russia have stated their readiness to join the exercise.

He said that various branches of the Iranian military would conduct exercises with foreign military forces. Earlier, Russia's ambassador to Tehran, Livan Zagrian, said in August that Iran, Russia and China would take part in a joint military exercise in the Persian Gulf in late 2021 or early 2022.
