| Rajinikanth's 'Annathe' makes new history at Tamil Nadu box office |
The new movie 'Annathe' starring superstar Rajinikanth has been released on the occasion of Diwali. Rajinikanth's performance in the movie directed by Siruthai Shiva has once again made his fans mad. The much-awaited movie has taken the box office by storm after its release. Rajinikanth's 'Annathe' has already made history at the Tamil Nadu box office, despite some controversy over the film's earnings record on the first day of release. The movie set a new record for the highest gross at the Tamil Nadu box office in the first three days.
According to the Indian box office portal Box Office India, Rajinikanth's 'Annathe' grossed Rs 53.50 crore at the Tamil Nadu box office in the first three days after its release. In the history of Tamil cinema, 'Annathe' has made a unique history as the first film in Tamil Nadu to earn Rs 50 crore in three days. Though Tamil Nadu has made new history at the box office, the movie is not doing well in other places. With the exception of Tamil Nadu, the movie has grossed Rs 13.50 crore.
Corona later described the first three days of earnings in Tamil Nadu as "great". At the Tamil Nadu box office there are a number of complications with the share of income with the theater. Despite the corona and this complexity, the amount of business the movie has done in Tamil Nadu has never been seen before in Chennai. The storm that the movie has created in some theaters, especially in Chennai, has not been seen in many blockbuster movies. In all, the movie's potential earnings in the first week stood at Rs 75 crore.
By the way, after almost 26 years, any movie of this superstar has been released on Diwali. Rajinikanth starrer 'Muthu' was last released on Diwali in 1995. Rajinikanth's movies are usually released on the occasion of Tamil New Year and Pangal. And like every time, Rajinikanth's movie has taken the box office by storm.
Siruthai Shiva directed the movie under the banner of Sun Pictures. Along with Rajinikanth, Nayantara, Kirti Suresh, Meena, Khushboo, Jackie Shroff, Jagpati Babu, Prakash Raj, and Bella Rammurthy have also acted in the action-based movie. De Imman is in charge of the music director of the movie. After almost two decades, superstar Rajinikanth has been seen in a rural role in the movie 'Annathe'.
